2026 Preschool Screening and Application Day

Sequatchie County Schools is excited to welcome new families to its early learning programs! If you have a child who will be 3 or 4 years old, you're invited to participate in Preschool Screening and Application Day on Thursday, March 26, 2026, by appointment only, from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm at Griffith Elementary School.

This important event provided families the opportunity to apply and have their child screened for the following early education programs.

• Sequatchie County Pre-K (ages 3 and 4)
• Head Start (ages 3 and 4)

What to Bring?

To save time at your child's screening appointment, download and print the 2026 Pre-K Screening Application. Fill it out ahead of time and bring the completed form with you.

Pre-K Screening Application

Please be prepared with the following documents for your child's application and screening:

• Certified Birth Certificate
• Social Security Card (optional)
• Tennessee Immunization Record
• Physical Exam dated after August 1, 2025, or proof of an upcoming appointment
• Proof of Sequatchie County residency (e.g. utility bill)
• Proof of Income (e.g. pay stub, income tax document, food stamp number)

Please note: Completing the application and screening does not guarantee acceptance into a preschool program. Enrollment is limited and based on eligibility criteria.
